IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE…..YOU’VE GOTTA CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOR REAL

Reinventing myself seems to be the one consistent thing I have done throughout my life. I guess if there are any experts out there, it would be the people that have gone before us and actually done the work, learned the lessons, and learned to identify the pitfalls. Being tribal creatures, humans were designed to learn from one another. In the past we lived in extended groups such as tribes and large family groups. Daughters learned from mothers who learned from grandmothers who learned from great grandmothers. We learned from stories and shared experience and time spent together.

For those of us on the planet together at this time, we are somewhat fractured as a group in the digital age. This leaves us to our own devices, trying to decipher the truth from the internet and social media…..no wisdom to draw from ….no nuggets of truth…no direction. This blog is intended to be a platform where the truth and wisdom of the grandmothers is shared with absolute conviction. With the understanding that truth is often subjective: I have invited others who have accomplished thriving in these areas to give a wide range of possibilities and perspectives. Please enjoy!

KIM’S PERSPECTIVE:

So I understand that most of you cringe at the thought of change….well NOT ME! Im one of the fortunate ones that embraces it, invites it, even celebrates it. I am best when I am in the flow of life, ever changing, moving and advancing. Sometimes I jokingly refer to myself as having been a river in a past life. Having the ability to pivot in this life is not lost on me, I am grateful for it and it has been my handiest coping skill to date.

More to come…….

So, I can only write about my own process. Hopefully you can take some (or all) of these nuggets and adopt them for your own journey in this life. What works for me may not work for you and visa versa. Although we all share 99.9% of our DNA as a species, Its the remaining fracture of a percentage that makes us unique. Its what we spend our whole lives trying to identify and manage. Add on to this perception the memories we have, the experiences we share (and don’t share), the cultures we are raised in, our state of physical wellbeing, and our ability to learn and understand, and the task seems suddenly monumental…………DONT PANIC!! Stay with me.

Its going to take some honest looking in the mirror on your part, but I promise it will be worth it in the end. Keep your eye on the prize…the ability to change your life into what makes you truly happy and authentic. Its not actually a destination is your first lesson. ITS A WILD RIDE!!!!! Buckle up buttercup.

INTROSPECTIVE/////DEATH OF THE DREAM BIRTH OF ANOTHER………

To understand how to change it, you need to learn how to identify it. Sometimes it seems too painful to face these emotions in the raw. They run so deep all the way to your inner soul. It will take an awfully big mirror here. Can you see the cycles that cause you pain and unrest? Is it something you have been through before. How did you handle it last time, what decisions were made to bring you to this point once again? what brought you to your knees this time?

Can you break it down and back it up? Who are the players on the stage once again? Are the feelings the same? Where do they originate? LOVE or FEAR? Boil it down. If it is love….is it love for self or love for others? If its fear , is it fear of loss or rejection or action? Is it the unknown? the Unworthiness? Is it a story…..a lie….that you have been told or are telling yourself? It takes quiet and solitude for this kind of processing. Truth that you can only speak to yourself and your GOD. Tears will most likely flow. Anger will rise. The heart will break wide open. Keep in mind that change in nature often takes a painfully dramatic change. Death and Birth are equally painful and at the same time transformative. WELCOME to the becoming….sit and make yourself at home!!

Ever thought about how people perceive you? How they see you physically? Why do all eye witness accounts vary from person to person? What if we are percieved by others the way they need to see you? Not the way you need to be seen? What if our physical bodies are actually a construct of the person using the eyes at the time?!?

OOPS! HAVE I GONE TOO FAR?

I have survived everything and everyone so far….can I love myself and respect my intuition at this point? If time is not linear can I not only change my present and my future, but my past. What stories was I told as a child , as a moldable lump of clay entrusted to the grown ones? What of their folklore did I memorize and regurgitate to myself all this time? Was I their lesson or they mine? Does it even matter anymore? Existential crisis will bring these things to the surface. Just sit with them and acknowledge them but don’t give them any power or energy. Just witness it and breath! DONT FORGET TO BREATH Let this crash over you like a wave. Its transformative.

The keys to this process is not to splinter into a million pieces ….stay in the now completely present in every way and try to stay in authentic happiness, gratefulness, and high vibration what ever that means to you. For me, its quiet, solitude ,reflection, prayer, self care and self love. HEY…..NO JUDGEMENT! IM NOT GETTING PIERCED OR TATTOOED OR BRANDED SO I CALL THIS GROWTH. If you want to change it up, you have to change it up. That means feeling the feelings without reacting to them like you used to. Acknowledging is not the same as repeating past decisions. Just don’t participate in that particular story you have been repeating in your head. Remember turning feelings into felonies is not recommended. HaHaHa
